The diagnosis of head lice can be stressful on families. Our Removal Options:

1. Manual Comb Out

   For children 3 and under, for whom the LouseBuster™ device is contraindicated, or for anyone who prefers combing, our classic method of combing and manual nitpicking ensures you will be back in school the next day depending on individual school policy. We recommend a follow up appointment 3-7 days later and suggest 5 - 10 minutes of combing a day between visits. We average an hour a head for shoulder length hair with moderate infestations.

   Manual Removal may be the right option for you if:

   • You are sensitive to heat or 3 and under
   • You do not have a severe infestation or if you have already done combing on your own
   • You have thin, easy to comb hair
   • If you are comfortable combing with a lice comb between visits
   • You can be patient until your follow up visit in about 10 days

   What to expect:

   • Our technician arrives
   • We may ask for some plain paper towels and a cup of water
   • We perform multiple steps of the combing process
   • Your hair will have oil (we ask you keep this in at least overnight)
   • Make an appointment for your follow up visit
   • Wait 10 days
   • We come back to your house to perform another comb through to confirm no missed eggs have hatched


2. LouseBuster™ Treatment

   The LouseBuster™ device - Appropriate for children 4 and older, the LouseBuster™ device offers a guaranteed one time treatment. Consisting of dry, heated air applied around the head, LouseBuster™ clients benefit from the patented technology that ensures almost 100 per cent of the lice and eggs are killed after their treatment. Our technicians will comb after treatment with lice killer oil to remove the dead lice and eggs. You can be assured that after our visit, you will be lice free, guaranteed! No combing or other aftercare required. We average an hour a head for shoulder length hair with moderate infestations

   For severe head lice cases or long hair, you can save money, time and stress with the LouseBuster™ Treatment. Instead of numerous appointments, ongoing combing, additional products, more time and stress, head lice can be gone after a SINGLE treatment.

   What to expect:

   • Our technician arrives with the device (It is carried inside a suitcase)
   • We will need to set up near an electrical outlet
   • We will begin by confirming you have lice
